Vietnam-era veteran Kevin Baker of Des Moines looks at panels bearing the names of those killed or missing in the Vietnam War during assembly of The Dignity Memorial Vietnam Experience Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines. The display, a traveling, three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be open to school children on Thursday and to the public at from Friday to Sunday. The faux-granite replica is 240 feet long, eight feet high and contains the names of more than 58,000 Americans who died or are missing in Vietnam.
